How to fix a tiny crack in a pane of gl?

I picked up a small china cabinet that has gl panes in its doors, and I see one of them has a tiny crack (less than an inch long" near one edge. It's been covered with scotch tape. Is there something else less noticeable I can use to help prevent the crack from spreading?
