What are good modern songs for an alto?

I'm in an honors chorus at my school, and at our spring concert, a solo is a requirement. I'm an alto, and I'm having trouble finding a good song for an lower alto range. I'd like it to be more modern, preferably something acoustic. But something Moulin Rouge-esque or that something like that would be fine too.
