It is good that you found this early. Children are very resiliant and take surgery in stride. Since she is so little, she will probably have no memory of having surgery. Get this fixed now so that she can have a normal gait, play sports, etc. This is much better than leaving them the way they are and having difficulty doing normal things that other children can do (running, jumping, skipping). Insurance usually covers this type of surgery. Get it done while she is young. You have to make your decisions based on what will be best for her for her lifetime, not what she will go through right now. She will get through this surgery better than you think.
