Can I bring my ex-friend to court?Need Legal Advice?

ok so i used to be this girl's friend...we were pretty close..i slept at her house sometimes etc...so one time i spent a week there so i took a big bag of my things and stayed there...anyway ...after i left i'd ask her when i can come get my things and she'd always say shes busy and isnt going to be home....so about a week ago we stopped being friends...she told me on the phone that shes very spiteful and that i cant come get my things because shes going to burn them...yesterday i told her i'm coming and she said she already threw them out...i have the MSN conversation saved where she said that and also i have her recorded phonecall of her saying it and laughing about it.....anyway i told her i'm going to bring her to court and she said "she took every law cl there is and after 15 days of me leaving her house shes able to throw my things away"...mind u 15 days after we were still friends...do i have a case? my things were very expensive
