How do I jazz up my tenor saxophone solo?

My high school jazz band is playing Jump, Jive, and Wail. There's an awesome tenor sax solo in the piece and I'd love to do it justice. If any of you have information on techniques I can do to give that particular solo (or any other solo) a little more jazz, that would be great. I'm definitely open to comments and advice. Thanks!
